My hair is long and curly and thick! how do i make it look good?!?

Keep it moisterized. Only wash your hair every other day to keep its natural oils, which makes it so much healthier. Use a vitamin enhanced shampoo and conditioner like the Bed Head Selfabsorbed one. Also when you condition make sure it stays on for at least 3-5 mins. The weight of your hair should keep it a little less frizzy, but if thats still the problem use a gel and try to towel dry your hair. For different look you can part it on the side , braid it while its still wet (french braids are great for curly hair) or straighten it. Good Luck

How is the best way to straighten ur hair if its really wavy and thick cuz i use a flat iron??

Is there any way thats a little better 4 my hair??i need awnsers from people with experience!!Pleeze n thanx!!

How is the best way to straighten ur hair if its really wavy and thick cuz i use a flat iron??

K, so I have the same thick curly hair issue and with LOTS of trial and error I have found out the way to go for me. First wash and condition with a heat shampoo/conditioner like Thermasilk and then let it dry naturally but continue to brush it so it is as flat as it can be without a flat iron. It will be frizzy... but then use the iron on it (ceramic works best).

How is the best way to straighten ur hair if its really wavy and thick cuz i use a flat iron??

Buy a maxi glide. www.maxiglide.tv it works. Report It

How is the best way to straighten ur hair if its really wavy and thick cuz i use a flat iron??

I have a TON of experience being that I have VERY curly and difficult hair and that I work in a salon. Flatirons work perfectly if you have the right one. You don't want to buy a cheap one. Typically the ionic ceramic ones, such as a unil or chi work the best. In addition because putting heat on your hair can damage your ends you want to use a heat-activated shampoo and conditioner and avoid harsh abrasives.

How is the best way to straighten ur hair if its really wavy and thick cuz i use a flat iron??

there is a straightener called the (chi) it works really well because i have wavey hair as well. try it though its is expensive its worth it!!!!

How is the best way to straighten ur hair if its really wavy and thick cuz i use a flat iron??

I'm not sure what exactly a flat iron is, but I have used a hair straightener every single day for a few years now. They sell really good ones that are worth the investment, I recommend ceramic. I have one that is safe to use when your hair is still wet too.

How is the best way to straighten ur hair if its really wavy and thick cuz i use a flat iron??

I use a maxiglide. You can purschase it from QVC for approx $80. My hair is VERY curly, thick and course. I can straighten it to pin straight with it in about 45 min. That is from washing, drying to straight. You do not need to blow dry it straight. Just dry it. When I am done it is big and frizzy. After straightening, it is soft, straight and beautiful. It takes not time at all and it is amazing. Go to QVC.com and look up maxiglide. I believe that there is a clip so you can see what exactly what it does. I have used flat irons in the past, and they do not really work for my type of hair. The maxiglide had 2 different irons. One is the typical flat iron which I never use. The other has like a comb attachment and flat iron togther. It pull every curl out of your hair. It truly is amazing. My friends can not believe what a difference it makes. It is definately worth the money.

um blow dry hair with a rounded brush and see how it works for you

What shampoo helps volumize your hair and make it thick?

Try the Rene Furterer treatment called Tonucia. It is meant for people born with fine, limp hair, or for people who currently have fine limp hair because of a reaction to something external like color, perm, blow-drying, pollution, or smoke. You start with the scalp using essential oils of orange and lavendar (product is called Complexe 5) to increase circulation to the roots, as well as firm the tissue surrounding the bulb of the hair. It's just like a plant. If it is not packed well in the soil, it grows weak and falls limp. If the soil is firm, the plant is fed the nutrients it needs from the soil and will grow strong and healthy. Then follow the essential oils with the Tonucia shampoo and no-rinse foam, which will add density to the hair by coating with wheat protein that fills in gaps in the hydrolipidic film around the hair and provides texture to the hair. It also has soybean glycine, vitamin F, glycolipids, and phytosterols that reproduce the action of intercellular cement in the hair, which is what provides strength to the hair. The products are made from organically grown natural ingredients. I promise you that once you use this, you'll never look for anything else.

Whats the best option for keeping my hair and regrowng fuller thicker hair?

I have just completed 6 months in a laser hair tratment and applied ointment on my scalp morning and night. I spent alot of money on this and the results werent what I was told they'd be. I have a large amount of hair on my head, I would like to keep it that way and re - grow lost hair so that my hair is thicker and fuller. What is the best form of treatments availabe?

Whats the best option for keeping my hair and regrowng fuller thicker hair?

There are several options available for regrowing hair, among them are hair transplantation or "hair plugs", testosterone blocking medications, and medications like monoxidil. Hair plugs work by transplanting hair from one location to another, normally this is from the rows of hair along your hairline on the back of your neck to wherever else you need it. Monoxidil is the active ingredient in Rogaine and has a pretty good track record for restoring hair growth. Testosterone is also responsible for hair loss in males as well, which is why medications that block/decrease this hormone help with hair loss as well.

I've attached and article if you'd like to know more. I hope this helps.

Thick, tangle-y hair!?

i have really really thick hair... its hard to manage and is really frizzy. it gets tangled really easy 2... what r some ways to keep it from frizz-ing and tangling??

Thick, tangle-y hair!?

get a razor cut.

Thick, tangle-y hair!?

My daughter has thick hair and I "used" to. LOL. One thing I would do is to brush her hair in the shower when it's full of conditioner. Then just rinse your brush and hair. Never wash hair in a sink with your head upside down! That creates tangles. Then, once you get that under control, braid your hair or pony tail.

Thick, tangle-y hair!?

Get a perm or relaxer for course hair. That will work wonders and make sure you get a good conditioner that you use once a week. You will start to see results immediately! Good Luck Hun! I know the struggles of hard to manage hair!

How can i thin my hair cuz its too thick!!?

helppp!

How can i thin my hair cuz its too thick!!?

Next time you get your hair cut just ask the stylist to thin it for you. They use a razor, and it takes off some of the bulk. Flat ironing your hair also helps, but since your avatar is a guy I guess that doesn't help. You can always use a little gel to smooth it out in the meantime if you can't get to the hairdresser, or barber or whatever guys call hair people, but make sure you only use a small amount or you'll end up looking like Alfalfa from the little rascals.

Good luck with your crazy fro! =D

My sister had thick hair three years back, but now it is not. Can some one help her thicken it again

Her hair used to be so thick that it was very hard to even put in a ponytail because the hair kept slipping. She takes vitamins, uses special oil from DOOgRO, Anti-Breakage Therapy, and massages her head with olive oil every third day. She also drinks more water and eats almonds every day. Will that work or should she do anything more? She also has very long hair, too. An if you guys have any advice about thickening eyelashes, she would really appreciate that.

My sister had thick hair three years back, but now it is not. Can some one help her thicken it again?

Never use a brush on it, that pulls it out..only a comb, ..check what medicines she is on, sometimes that does have side effects.

A certain amount of hair loss is expect each day, but if she thinks it is excessive go to the Doctor.

Taking cod liver oil, castor oil and vitiam E and D, but do check with the Doctor first....thank you

Castor oil and olive oil--2 drops of each--on the area every night.

The hair--cut it. Maybe the weight is causing it to fall out. Or else try the oil on the scalp too.

My sister had thick hair three years back, but now it is not. Can some one help her thicken it again?

For thickening hair massage raw lemon on hair, keep it on for two three hours and then shampoo ur hair.Use any good quality volumising shampoo and for thickening eyelashes get a good quality mascara(Lakme is good),apply it on ur eyelashes b4 going to bed for 15 days.It will surely work.

My sister had thick hair three years back, but now it is not. Can some one help her thicken it again?

is she taking any medication? if so, this could be why her hair is thinning. moreover, it could be the products she is using in her hair. if she has a perm tell her to stop perming her hair for a while. the vitamins are good to take also but she could also try a pre-natal vitamin. sounds like she is taking good care of her hair so i would suggest that she talks to her dr to see if there is something else going on with her body that is affecting her hair. i was on depo-shot and it broke my hair off and my hair lost its texture (i have thick hair also). however, i laid off the perm for a yr. and let the medicine get fully in my system and now my hair is bk to its normal texture and thick again.......so it may be something she is taking, tell her to talk to her dr. and dont use any more hair products to so called "grow" hair. oh and for her lashes she could just use a volumnizing mascara or one that states to thicken or multiple lashes. :-)

My sister had thick hair three years back, but now it is not. Can some one help her thicken it again?

The almond oil might do better on her hair than in her stomach, but if it's worked for her in the past, that should be fine. As for the DooGro, a mixture of Shea Butter and natural oils would work just as well.

At any rate, if her hair is not as thick as it used to be, it might be possible that she hasn't been as kind to her hair as she is now. Every hair follicle has a life span, and will only grow a certain number of hairs. It may be that some of her hair follicles were damaged.

This can happen with rough combing/brushing, improper care of her scalp, harsh shampoos (btw, shampoo may cleanse the scalp, but is bad for your hair), etc. Also, relaxers strip your hair down, and cause it to weaken and break off. Damage like that cannot be repaired. If she relaxes, she should consider a deep conditioner as often as every 10-15 days,

It seems that she's doing all she can. Remember that hair only grows from 1/2 to (maybe) 1 inch(if she's lucky) per month even if it's growing back in, it will take time. If nothing seems to work, tell her to see a dermatologist.

My sister had thick hair three years back, but now it is not. Can some one help her thicken it again?

Is she using any meds that could be causing her hair to thin out , I have super thick hair, now but when i was on birth control especially depo i had problems with my hair thinning !

My sister had thick hair three years back, but now it is not. Can some one help her thicken it again?

apply vitamine E oil

ANy cute hair ideas for VERY thick, wavy/curly shoulder lenghth hair?

I have the same kind of hair and I mostly wear it down but it is long enough to use a hair band in it. Use a good mousse and a shine serum in it it makes a ton of difference!!! Also use a finishing cream for frizz if you have any!

ANy cute hair ideas for VERY thick, wavy/curly shoulder lenghth hair?

work those curls girl. add layers and immediately your hair will look longer and you'll have more versatility. Not only will it look all cute and have tendrils around your face when you tie it up but your hair will feel thinner after adding layers to it. trust me it helps. Just don't go too crazy with the layers and do not I repeat do not let them use the razor or thinning shears on your hair as it will make your hair frizzier!

ANy cute hair ideas for VERY thick, wavy/curly shoulder lenghth hair?

If you have bangs, clip them back and let people see your face. Also, if you don't like the wavy/curly hair, straigtening products and straighteners work good.

Thick wavy hair to thin straight hair?

i have really thick wavy puffy hair and i really want thin straight hair i need help (but i don't want that just take the hair you have bull)

help me please

Thick wavy hair to thin straight hair?

Just FYI, to another response, girls with thick hair shouldn't get it thinned, especially when it's "puffy" It only creates more frizz

I have the same exact hair, but I straughten it everyday and it's gorgeous.

Try relaxing shampoos and products from a general store.

Or try curling products.

Everyone thinks their own natural hair is not attractive, it's an age old thing

Thick wavy hair to thin straight hair?

you can go to a salon and get a straight perm (yes there real) or you could do it like everyone else and take 20-45 mins. straightening it

Thick wavy hair to thin straight hair?

both styles are beautiful. i have straight hair, but sometimes i scrunch it to make waves. maybe you can do the same sort of thing; straighten it sometimes. maybe straightening it permanently is a little to dramatic. like, i know a person that wants to permanently straighten her hair %26amp; everyone thinks shes nuts because she has the most beautiful brown, curly hair in school. when she straightens it, it looks fake. maybe people like your hair more than you think they do....?

Thick wavy hair to thin straight hair?

the best idea is go to boots and theres a home straightening kit its 鎷?5 it keeps your hair straight but you also have to straighten it. ghd straightners are the best. do you know what they are?

Thick wavy hair to thin straight hair?

in a hairdresser you can ask to get it thinned out.

this works WONDERS!

there are kits for doing it yourself, but it's risky so i would say it's worth going to the salon.

then you would just have to dry it straight or use straightening irons when you wash it...

you can get a straight perm but i had this done before and i got really sick of having straight hair, it won't hold a curl at ALL for months!

if you're absolutely sure you want it straight then go for the straight perm (there are also versions of these available in drugstores, but ask a friend to help!)

i think it's nice to choose wavy hair somedays and straight other days though, it makes your hair more interesting!

but once it is thinned your life will be much easier, and it will be easier and quicker to straighten!

good luck!

Thick wavy hair to thin straight hair?

Thick hair is better.

If you must have thin hair, you could always go to a salon and have them thin it for you.

Thick wavy hair to thin straight hair?

Use a straightening Iron or get a straight perm. The stylist can thin your hair out with a special razor.

My daughter is 1 and her hair texture is really soft thick and curly but the back is not growing wha

this is completely normal, most babies, when first growing hair have areas that come in great from the start and areas that don't. a lot of babies also end up with a bald spot on their head from sleeping on that spot, or rolling around the floor. keep trimming the longer stuff, and eventually, it will all be even with the rest.

PS, don't feel bad, my 1 year old is still completely bald!

My daughter is 1 and her hair texture is really soft thick and curly but the back is not growing what do i do?

Leave the poor girl alone. It'll grow in ok eventually.

My daughter is 1 and her hair texture is really soft thick and curly but the back is not growing what do i do?

If you don't like the look of it, you can cut it, so it will look and grow even at the same time.

My daughter is 1 and her hair texture is really soft thick and curly but the back is not growing what do i do?

do nothing, it will grow in time. my sister was completely bald until she was 3 years old. Now she cuts her hair every six weeks. relax it's mother's anxiety.

My daughter is 1 and her hair texture is really soft thick and curly but the back is not growing what do i do?

Your daughters hair IS growing at the back however, she is only growing BABY hair which is quite fragile. Just like her baby teeth, your daughters baby hair will eventually balance itself out with grown up hair. Take it easy.

My daughter is 1 and her hair texture is really soft thick and curly but the back is not growing what do i do?

believe it or not, by getting her a trim it will eventually grow in even and nice and uniform through out her entire head. Just a little trim is all she needs.

My daughter is 1 and her hair texture is really soft thick and curly but the back is not growing what do i do?

Leave that baby's hair alone! Not only is she growing but so is her hair. She is only 1 it will come I promise. My head was completly bald around the sides for a long time (according to my mother and the pics that I have seen). But now it is long past my shoulders. And my niece is now 4 but for a long time hers did not grow in the back either. It finally did and her hair is long and thick.

Also, if this is not enough of an answer then ask her MD what the normal growing pattern for children her age.

My daughter is 1 and her hair texture is really soft thick and curly but the back is not growing what do i do?

Does she lay on her back more than her sides? Her hair will grow in just fine. Stay calm, ask your dr. if you are concerned.

Any tips on hair products that work well with curly/wavy thick hair?

I have long, thick hair that is curly/wavy and has the tendency to frizz. I have been experimenting with different shampoos and hair products for many years and I've never found anything that I'm completely satisfied with. One brand I did like was the Matrix Sleek Look line, but since it is a little pricey, I wanted to find a good drug store brand. Has anyone found any relatively inexpensive hair products that work well for eliminating frizz and defining curl in thick curly hair? Thanks!

Any tips on hair products that work well with curly/wavy thick hair?

To get that feel of soft and healthy hair, its to make your hair finer. Here are some homemade tips:

Apply to your hair a generous amount of either, Coconut, Olive, or almond oil, and apply it onto your hair. Put a shower cap over it, and leave in for the night. When its morning, rinse it out. This mosturizes your hair, making it feel, finer, smoother, silkier, and healthier.

Mush 8 strawberries w/ 1 tablespoon of mayonaise. Massage onto hair. (Do not rinse). Put a shower cap over it, then a warm towel, leave in for 1/2 hour. Then rinse. You will feel unbelievable difference immediatley.

Comb your hair w/ a Natural Boar Bristle brush. This will take the natural oils from your hair, and distribute it out evenly to your hair. Which will make it feel softer and shinier. (Brush can be found at Target)

Rinse your hair w/ cold water instead of warm water after you shampoo. This closes the cuticle of your hair.

Use a Deep conditioner once a week. (I recommend the Garnier Fructis Deep conditioner 3 min.) It will hydrate your hair, leaving it soft and shiny!

Mix 2 eggs w/ a little bit of milk, and massage into hair, leave in for 5 min. Then rinse out w/ cold water.

I hope you like these homemade recipies! Good Luck with making your hair nice and soft! I hope i helped, The website on the bottom, you can find more tips!

Any tips on hair products that work well with curly/wavy thick hair?

I still haven't found a cheap shampoo/conditioner that works well, but for frizz, the Citre Shine anti-frizz serum and John Frieda Anti-Frizz serum/hair cream is good. Aussie has a double product--a leave-in conditioner/styling cream--that's pretty good for frizz and soft waves, though I don't know how good it would be for defining curls. It smells good too.

Any tips on hair products that work well with curly/wavy thick hair?

YES! I'm the same way...sometimes I hate my hair when it gets frizzy from the heat or rain...and I straighten it sometimes...

But I use Sunsilk Hydra TLC shampoo and conditioner (they're pink) at any grocery or drug store...and it works great! I used to think I had to buy salon products, but now I'm hooked on this. lol

And...to style it: I use L.A. Looks curl look gel or Garnier Fructis spray gel and I gently scrunch it since my hair is already curly...then I spray this hairspray over it called Pantene Pro-V curling spray (it's a burgundy and white bottle).

And be sure to let it AIR DRY! It prevents frizz completely!

Good luck! My hair has been cooperating well now lol

If you want a non-pro line, I'd recommend tresemme', if you want to go to a beauty shop, I'd recommend Paul Mitchell or Biolage products.

My question about why thick curly hair is so hard to manage?

This relates to my previous question about thick curly hair. Someone wrote stop trying to make your hair like a white persons, well I am white I just have really thick curly hair like a black person's hair and with all the peoples responses so far I haven't found an answer I'm searching for about how to manage thick, curly course hair. Please help I'm growing it out and it's always getting frizzy in the humidity. I use Garnier fructis and hawian ginger root conditioner and lots of it. If you have curly hair like me you know what I mean by lots of conditioner.

My question about why thick curly hair is so hard to manage?

yeah i have curly hair too

maybe not like yours

but hard to manage

i just put my hair into a tight bun when i go to sleep

[this way itll grow out the frizzycurliness

and when i go somewhere i slick it back with gel

hope i helped =]

My question about why thick curly hair is so hard to manage?

Put a Relaxer in it.

My question about why thick curly hair is so hard to manage?

I'm sorry to hear about all of your bad luck in previous questions. Unfortunatly, I don't really have an answer for you. You could always go to a salon and get it chemically straigtened,(you've probably heard that already sry) and if you want to, you could slick it back with gel, and but it in a tight bun. That's one way that I've seen somebody do it. I don't know if they have hair like yours though. Good luck, ~isa B-)

My question about why thick curly hair is so hard to manage?

There are better products out there than Garnier Fructis.

I have hair just like yours and I use a leave in conditioner, (Sebastian Potion #9), a shining serum, and heavy mousse (non volumizing)

I have Black girl hair, but I'm Mexican so go figure!

Curly hair is beautiful, embrace it :) Check out the website below!

My question about why thick curly hair is so hard to manage?

First of all, stop shampooing it too much- and do not use shampoos that contain sodium laureth sulfate or sodium lauryl sulfate- these are things commonly added to dishwashing liquids and make all the foam- except they dry out hair and curly hair is usually drier than straight hair. I bought a book by Lorraine Massey "Curly Girl" and founds tons of great tips for curly hair that made my life easier and my hair manageable. I highly recommend it, costs about $10 and is worth every penny.

My question about why thick curly hair is so hard to manage?

Wow, I can so relate. As long as you don't do it too often, straitening can really help. If your hair is like mine, you can go for almost a week w/o washing it. This way, it will stay strait for that long. You can also try products and stuff but that has never worked for me. Good luck!

My question about why thick curly hair is so hard to manage?

I too, have coarse curly (frizzy hair) and have nobody of African-American (or similar) descent in my heritage-- I am German and Irish-- Go figure. Plus I am a red-head!!

Curly hair has a more 'rough' cuticle (outside of the strand) than straigh hair. Managing curly hair has to do with smoothing the cuticle. When you use product that has a high silicone content that smooths the cuticle and makes the curls easier to manage. Heat and chemicals can also smooth the cuticle.

In my research with the stylist and my own experience, you do not need to spend tons of money on special shampoos and conditioners for curly hair. You just need to avoid shampoos with Ammonium lauryl sulfate and instead use shampoo with Sodium Laureth Sulfate--it is supposed to be less drying to the hair. As far as conditioners go--use one with lots of natural oils (olive, jojoba, etc). And ease up on the amount you use (about the the size of 2 quarters side by side), the more will just make your hair oily and then you will have oil flat roots with puffy hair on the bottom--gross!

When you detangle your wet hair, be very gentle and use your fingers instead of a comb or brush to minimize breakage (and more short frizzies!)

Finally for shiny hair or sleeker curls, use a silcon based leave-in conditioner like Frizz-ease. It will weigh you hair down and smooth out your curls so use it sparingly. I have used it the Flordia heat/humidy and haven't had many fly aways. It is also good to use it if you are going to heat straighten your hair.

You said you are growing out your hair but you might want to talk to a stylist (or look for pictures) about getting a transition cut while you are growing out your old style. Curly hair lays best with a good cut, and that does not always mean layered.

Lastly, try to have a sense of humor about your hair. I refer to mine as an out of control 2-year old (because some days I can not control it!). I have suffered through years of name calling and teasing because of my hair, and even as an adult people think nothing of comenting postivitly or negatively about my hair. I have decieded my hair is "my trademark" and I am know for it by anybody I come in contact with. So wear it proud--even on bad frizzies day-- and on the good days TAKE LOTS OF PICTURES!!! :)

My question about why thick curly hair is so hard to manage?

As long as I read about your hair it must be really hard to manage, because my hair is also as curly as black girls hair and I have another problem with dandruff, I relaxed it twice and it was beautiful until right now my normal hair is growing back and when I relaxed it I could finally washed my hair myself (my mom used to washed it for me), and started to wash it regularly, though my hair that is now growing and standing up was the hair that fell when I washed my hair and it was a lot, so I also have a problem with this and need help

Good hair straightener for thick wavy hair?

my frend has thick wavy hair and she straightens it every night or morning but she wants one that makes her hair look better and will make her hair stay straight for a longer time and besides the one she has is a one she's had for a while

Good hair straightener for thick wavy hair?

the chi. it's amazing and works on any hair type. it's pretty expensive though, around $200 but it works great!

Good hair straightener for thick wavy hair?

i have the same hair!! i've used a CHI and it's been great.. another is GHD or GLOBAL. great!!

Good hair straightener for thick wavy hair?

I really like chi's. their thin and maneuverable, but I have thick wavy hair also so i bought this big black one by conair.

for the most part it keeps my hair pretty straight, the only thing that curls is my bangs, but my straightener has a built in comb on the end so as you straighten it combs out your hair so you don't have to go over it as many times reducing heat damage.

http://www.samstores.com/_images/product...

it's a beast! lol

Good hair straightener for thick wavy hair?

well it depends on what price range your looking for.

for a so-so straightener that will sufficiently do the job and is a relatively low price remmington, tresemme, vidal sasson that type of stuff

for a great straightener that will do an awesome job but quite bit more money you should look for something like GHD,G4 or something like that.

Good hair straightener for thick wavy hair?

I also have thick, very curly hair and I've had lots of straighteners before but the one that has always worked the best is my Chi. You can buy them at beauty stores like Ulta. It keeps hair straight and silky all day, but be careful with it, it gets extremely hot.

Hope this helps!

Good hair straightener for thick wavy hair?

I have REALLY thick hair, I have the CHI and I love it. I don't have any damage, and it works soooo well. One of the best hair investments you'll ever make. I've never meet someone who didn't love it. Chi has an amazing line of products from heat protection ( i have) to shine boosters (etc.).

Good hair straightener for thick wavy hair?

Good hair straightener for thick wavy hair?

dr. miracle's xtra strength relaxer is beautiful or if u have a sensitive scalp use the regular strength. emotions is a strong perm too but i would go with dr. miracle's

Good hair straightener for thick wavy hair?

uhm.. i don't know exactly a type of brand.

but i think a chi would be better.

When she straightens her hair, do it in layers. really thin layers. it'll be really straight if it's done in layers.

and don't do it TOO hot. if the chi is too hot. it'll burn her hair.

and it doesn't smell good nor does it look good.

trust me.. lol

Good hair straightener for thick wavy hair?

try having her go to a hair salon and ger a striagthening perm. it's a chemical treatment they do on the hair that will permently striaghten the hair she would just have to go in every few months to retouch her roots, but she needs to remember not the wash or get her hair wet for the first 2 days imdeiatly after she gets it striaghten or it wont be as good

Good hair straightener for thick wavy hair?

I TECH .COM ABSOLUTLEY AMAZING MY SALON USES IT

Good hair straightener for thick wavy hair?

CHI!!

Longer and thicker hair?

i really want longer and thicker hair, my hairs to thin and i straighten it everyday anyway is there any good oil which i could use which could make my hair go longer and thicker really quick

3/4 weeks max

Longer and thicker hair?

The type of hair you have is down to genetics! Whether you have curly hair, straight hair, frizzy hair, thin hair, thick hair is what you are stuck are with. Shampoos/conditions/lotions and potions, etc although they claim to thicken and strengthen hair they can only do so to a certain extent. To get longer hair you need to get it cut regularly, because a regular trim every 4-6 weeks will reduce the likelyhood of split ends. And split ends make hair appear thinner. Remember hair grows approximately 1inch a month, if you get half an inch cut each month that means you still have half an inch growth each month. So as for growing it longer and thicker in 3 to 4 weeks I am afraid you are asking for the impossible!!

Longer and thicker hair?

u r lake of iron so take some iron and vitamins

Longer and thicker hair?

Thickness of hair based on genetics...and that's it. Hair extensions can add bulk or you can go to one of those "hair replacement" places; where they take hair from the back and transplant it; see on TV they even do it for woman. Only way; maybe try teasing it at the root for a bit for volume; even after you straighten it; use a toothbrush, gets in really good.

Longer and thicker hair?

you say you straighten your hair - is it naturally curly? why not try a curly or wavy style that will give it more volume, maybe scrunching it with mousse (i think frizz ease mousse is good)

if not then there is an aussie volumising conditioner that's good, with macademia. leave it in for a couple of minutes before rinsing, it smells great and stops hair getting quite so frizzled and flattened from heat-styling

hope that helps a bit =)

and god if anyone knows how to make hair grow quicker i'd love to know too! i had mine cut off and i hate it.

Longer and thicker hair?

try using silica you get it from health food shops twice a day also use a product called nioxin you get it from haidressers i will try send a link to the site it really works . x

Is there a way to make my hair thicker?

I want my hair to grow in thicker, so I can have thick and beautiful hair. I've thought about the HairMax Laser Comb, but other than that, what options do I have?

Is there a way to make my hair thicker?

really an truly, there isnt a way to make the hair grow thicker, as a child i didnt have much hair, but when i got to middle and high school, i kept a lot of micro braids and sew in weaves, it seemed like every time my hair would get thicker, its weird to me, but i guess the only way to make it appear thicker is to use a volumizer, i know paul mitchell has this new body spray for the hair out, that is suppose to leave the hair manageable and full all day long, try to go to paul mitchell.com

How can i get thicker hair?

Hair help i have thick wavy hair?

i want to make my hair in a very formal style but not like prom hair not a bun either bc my hair is like that everyday please help i have no i dea everything that is in the hair magazines are to difficult to do with my hair any ideas for something easy to do with thick wavy hair any ideas accepted

Hair help i have thick wavy hair?

You could flat iron your hair before you try to fix it make it smoother looking style or try looking for some pics of various french twists. The are easy and cute.

Hair help i have thick wavy hair?

When I want a formal Style but not too formal. went your hair is down, bring it up like you are going to put it into a ponytail, twist it one or two times. Where the twist is put a clip on it. the lose hair will fall, over the knot. One clip I suggest is a octopos clip. They work really well. good luck

Hair help i have thick wavy hair?

Okay- I am only going to say this one more time- DO NOT USE A FLAT IRON OR WASH IT WITH CONDITIONER! You will kill your hair, I swear. Try washing your hair just with conditioner, after a few days you will have beautiful curls. I suggest Dove Light Moisture, but that is just what works for me. You will have to experiment. I was my hair with shampoo about once a month because I naturally have very oily hair, and everyone comments that I have the most beautiful hair, and it is so much more manageable now.

Is there any over-the-counter hair dye that will turn my hair blonde and not orange? I have thick, d

hair. My hair has turned everything from burnt copper to orange to red, even though Iv'e bought "blonde" hair dye. I would like a natuarl look. Any suggestions...?

Is there any over-the-counter hair dye that will turn my hair blonde and not orange? I have thick, dark brown

b-blonde sold in boots n superdrug...all the normal all over hair dyes will always pick up on ur natural tones of red to go all over blonde i suggest going to the hairdressers... if u dont mind bleach blonde hen the b-blonde will work without it going any other colour then blonde n if you want a subtle look then use the cap it comes with i do mine all over n my hair is natrally blonde n ways i use it for a boost but my friend has dark hair n i used the same product with the cap n put in high lights which also looks nice....u need to use a bleach n peroxide for it not to pick out the red tones. n one u do it i suggest u use a all over hiar mask once a week to keep it getting damaged n looking nice n soft hope this helps

Is there any over-the-counter hair dye that will turn my hair blonde and not orange? I have thick, dark brown

Since your hair is so dark you will need a pre-lightener to strip the colour from your hair before you can even attempt to dye it blonde. This is tricky and I highly recommend that if you want blonde hair to spend the money and have a professional colourist do it for you.

Is there any over-the-counter hair dye that will turn my hair blonde and not orange? I have thick, dark brown

Certain shades of dark hair cannot be dyed blonde with just blond hair dye.

You need the 2-step treatment. Do NOT try it at home.

You must go to a professional salon. It's a very intense process.

They will first strip your hair of color.

They will actually color it in the next appointment (don't do it the same day, it can really dry your hair out)

You are pretty much bleaching it, therefore severely damaging your hair. Once the process is done, you must be very gentle with your hair (especially if you blow dry/heat process it often).

Use shampoos for dyed hair and do a hair mask once a week.

Is there any over-the-counter hair dye that will turn my hair blonde and not orange? I have thick, dark brown

I would go to the salon and get my hair dyed. If you are trying to go more than 2 shades lighter, trying to bleach your hair at home is really really risky, and you will probably not get the desired results. otc dyes cannot lift the hair color more than about 2 shades.

Poofy, frizzy, thick, wavy hair! Suggestions?

My hair is so THICK! it's unbelievable... but i can't get my hair cut short bc it makes me look like a mushroom head. LOL so my hair is kinda long but in order to make it better i straighten it EVERYDAY it takes me a total of 1 hr. 30 mins to do that.... but bc of doing that EVERYDAY i have really fried split ends and my hair looks awful... when my hair is wet it looks cute tho... ANY SUGGESTIONS!!!

Poofy, frizzy, thick, wavy hair! Suggestions?

Hello! I'm in the same situation, I have the same type of hair as you do. I know of some things to get the frizz down:

There is a product called Frizz- Eaze (john frida collection) that works really well on my hair. Get shampoo and conditioner thats for curly/dry hair. And what might work is buying some heat protector and straightening your hair, so that the heat protector will protect your hair from frying! Mousse tends to make your hair curlier and if you like the way you hair looks wet mousse will keep it that look. There is a product also called Flat Out ( i love it) , you can buy this at beauty first etc, not availabe at walmart or target. Flat out is great I use it! You take a shower..after the shower you put Flat out on your hair then blow dry it and its flat..U have to blow dry it in order to work!

GOOD LUCK! Hope I helped!

And just recently I cut my hair so its layered, not justone length and it made my hair less poofy!

Poofy, frizzy, thick, wavy hair! Suggestions?

Get is chemically straightened at the hair dressers?

Poofy, frizzy, thick, wavy hair! Suggestions?

Your hair sounds fried. You don't need any chemicals. Wash it and put moose for the wet look since it looks good wet.

Poofy, frizzy, thick, wavy hair! Suggestions?

If you can afford it, getting it chemically straightened would be your best option. A professional hairstylist could also tell you if your hair is damaged and what to do.

If you'd rather try a home remedy, use some professional grade leave-in conditioner (preferably with some sort of damage repair) for at least a week. Try to resist straightening it as mush as possible- maybe wear it up for the time being.

Then, go back to straightening and use Garnier Fructis Sleek %26amp; Shine Anit-Frizz serum- it comes in a little round green bottle. It works well to smooth frizz but doesn't leave hair greasy.

Mousse is also another option and much easier. I like the Pantene Pro V brand. Just put it on right after you get out of the shower and your hair will look wet and maybe a little wavy.

Good luck!

Poofy, frizzy, thick, wavy hair! Suggestions?

Keep it long enough to put back in a ponytail, and NO LAYERS!!

and use pins to clip back parts to add personality

Hope that helps!!

It's better, cleaner, and healthier to keep a manageable haircut. Mine is like a little longer than shoulder length and I straighten it every day without using any product and it looks good.

Hair help?????

i use to have thick hair and about a year ago i thinned it and went nuts on thinning my hair because i wanted it thin at the time. ive wash my hair daily and straighten it. my hair is dyed and yes i know that it damages your hair more and i tend to loose alot of hair in the shower and with a flat iron (which doesnt help to much ethier). ive been using paul mitchell for my hair now and leave in treatments but it seems like my hair is not growing the way it use to be (thick). i heard if you take vitamins it will help your hair grow and nails and ive been using centrum is there anything i can do to get my thick hair back like shampoos/ conditioners or use a different kind of vitamin?

Hair help?????

when you thin your hair you are basically cutting every other strand to make it thinner in different sections. Continue getting trims every 4-6 weeks you need to let the shorter stands grow back. I am sure it is dry from processing it you don not have to completely stop but you should always take really good care of colored hair if you are using home color that is prob a major cause in the loss of hair home color builds up on the hair and will eventually cause it to break because the hair is not able to breathe. The best product to make your hair grow back is Nioxin it will put the keratin back in your hair that it is missing use the chemically treated formula and start with the starter kit. If you are interested in vitamins they also have a vitamin check out there whole line hope i helped sincerely hair4life79

Hair help?????

number one- stop coloring and straigtening your hair. that KILLS it. (well hair is already dead, but it looks gross and damaged if you do lots of damaging things to it)

number two- i would suggest products by garnier fructis. i've found that they work really well. just dont color or straighten your hair, and you should be looking thicker very soon.

three- i would also try getting a hair cut. have your hairdresser cut off all the split ends, so your hair has more of a chance to look beautiful.

Hair help?????

Try fortifying shampoo's. They keep my hair healthy and thick....i like using Tres Semee. do not put any more product in your hair than you have to. The less direct heat (curling iron..etc) you use, that would also help!

Hair help?????

You could stop the straighteing and dying it unless it's absolutely needed and I think the vitamins will help.

Hair help?????

I have really thick curly hair so I know what your going through. I use a flat iron alot. Some days if I want to give my hair a break and i'm not doing anyhting, i pull it up in a ponytail. It gives a day of not being fryed. I use pantene and they have different kinds for dyed hair and all different types. You can also take a "multiple vitamin" which will help. Oh yeah, trimming the ends will help your hair grow faster and look beautiful and healthier. You should get a trim up for dead ends about every 6 weeks.

Hair help?????

Prenatal vitamins are great for hair and nail growth. First I would stop all of the chem. you are putting in your hair. Do you use a clarifying shampoo once or twice a week, this helps to clear off the build up you've piled up on your hair, stop coloring and straightening for one year let your hair breath then start back with the abuse if you like.

Hair help?????

I actually heard eating a lot of protein will help... It's a repairing vitamin. I learned this in food and nutrition class, but I've never actually tried. I have naturally thin hair. In the meantime, volumizer sounds good. And if you need to straighten your hair, go to the other extreme. You can scrunch or straighten. Scrunch instead, or just go natural and put your hair back. Scrunching isn't as bad for your hair, anyways. Pantene hair products are good for dry hair, too, I heard.

Hair help?????

Let it free of hot machines like the flat itron or even drying for a while, to let it regain strength. I am going through the same issue. One thing that helps a LOT is to take "Berry Green" is a powder supplement you find at health food stores. It really works, it's kind of expensive, but it gives your body the natural agents needed for healthy, shinny thick hair. (Among other benefits)

Good luck!!

Hair help?????

yes u can use white iodine and believe me centrum doesnt do any good...nearly every girl has hair problems as girls want their hair to look perfect..u could get protein pills from ur doctor that is specially for ur hair..salon treatments are not so promising, doctors are closer to health than others...perfectil pills are better for nails and hair....hope ur hair gets better...

Hair help?????

Take sublingual BIOTIN... it's great for hair and nails. It will give you luxurious hair and stunning nails. I buy mine on EBay.... cheap and easy to deal with.

I am a guy and I have short hair but it is very hard, thick and curly. How can I make it straight?

I am facing this problem since long and I have tried Lolane, Glatt etc.But it seems straight when the hair is wet.But when my hair dries, my hair will again be very curly.

Please find me the solution.Thanks

I am a guy and I have short hair but it is very hard, thick and curly. How can I make it straight?

A flat iron. Men use them too. they work great, but don't put the setting too high cause it can damage you hair...fry it and make it frizzy. Use it after brushing your hair while blow drying. Go to your local hair salon and they will give you special products to keep your hair healthy. =0)

I am a guy and I have short hair but it is very hard, thick and curly. How can I make it straight?

Sleep with your head in a bowl of soy sauce.

I am a guy and I have short hair but it is very hard, thick and curly. How can I make it straight?

Curly hair is great. I think it is always best to work with what you have rather than trying to change it. It will be a never ending process. Instead, find a good hairdresser that can cut it to lay right.

I am a guy and I have short hair but it is very hard, thick and curly. How can I make it straight?

You can go to saloon for treatment to get sraight!

I am a guy and I have short hair but it is very hard, thick and curly. How can I make it straight?

Don't make it straight! Keep it curly! Just use a product that makes it soft and embrace it!

I am a guy and I have short hair but it is very hard, thick and curly. How can I make it straight?

Use hair straighteners.

I know girls use them but I know lots of guys that use them.

Buy some cream that will help straighten hair.

Wash your hair, towel dry, then rub in the cream, then blow dry the hair and then straighten it.

If you dont have straighteners use your moms or sisters.

Or buy some.

I am a guy and I have short hair but it is very hard, thick and curly. How can I make it straight?

go to rite aid..walgreens..or some similar place.. go to ethnic hair products section for people of color and get a relaxer. buy according to hair texture... normal.. regular.. extra strength. get help.. you do not want to go bald. just read directions thoroughly and do not leave in long.

I am a guy and I have short hair but it is very hard, thick and curly. How can I make it straight?

curly hair is just great but if you want straight hair .. and you find it annoying to use the straightener maybe you should buy one type of liquid that use to straighten your hair for quit sometimes.. but you hair might be quite dry after that

I am a guy and I have short hair but it is very hard, thick and curly. How can I make it straight?

Only thing I can think of is hair straighteners. I know girls use them but some guys do too. But then again your hair might be really short, so go and ask at your local salon.

I am a guy and I have short hair but it is very hard, thick and curly. How can I make it straight?

Try to keep long hair. In the long hair rub coconut oil, wet it and dry it with hair drier. Don't take much onoin with food because it contains sulphur and curling hair consist of a sulphur containing protein in isomeric form.

I am a guy and I have short hair but it is very hard, thick and curly. How can I make it straight?

F CORSE STRAIGHTEN IT!!!!!

I am a guy and I have short hair but it is very hard, thick and curly. How can I make it straight?

curly hair is cute on guys. if you get a hairstyle that suits you.

I am a guy and I have short hair but it is very hard, thick and curly. How can I make it straight?

Hi,

I would suggest not to go to the treatment salon for straight hair because then your hair would have faster result of breakage, which is not healthy at all,you could probably get some straighting shampoo and conditior. and also comb out your hair 2 times in a day with a paddle brush that would help.

I am a guy and I have short hair but it is very hard, thick and curly. How can I make it straight?

hello,

i honestly feel u should not go for straightning ur hairs let it be natural it has its own beauty and very few people get it .only thing u make them soft by applying egg on it as a conditioner and make it managable it has its own advantage u need not comb now and then

I have thick, brown, long, straight, one-lengthed, frizzy hair. How should i get it cut? Layers?

Do you wear it curly or straight?

If you get it layered it may make it fuzz out even more.

Check with your hairdresser.

I have thick, brown, long, straight, one-lengthed, frizzy hair. How should i get it cut? Layers?

Defff....layers!!! and telll them long layers, if you say short they are liable to give you short choppy layers that will not be compatiable with your thick hair!! hope i could help!!! just go loook at a Jenifer aniston pic or a jessica simpson pic!! they are my hair idols!!!!!

I have thick, brown, long, straight, one-lengthed, frizzy hair. How should i get it cut? Layers?

if its frizzy don't layer it it will poof out so far you should try a short cut that forms the shape of your bangs maybe even bangs. if you choose straighten your hair even though it is straight because it will make it less frizzy.

I have thick, brown, long, straight, one-lengthed, frizzy hair. How should i get it cut? Layers?

if its straight and thick, get layers, then get something to help with the frizz.

I have thick, brown, long, straight, one-lengthed, frizzy hair. How should i get it cut? Layers?

you should get side bangs a framing around the face

layers? well i think they would look wonderful but make sure you use lot of deep conditioner and maybe a leave-in anti-frizz conditioner, get your hair dresser to recommend a good brand that would work for u. o and i would get the longest layer to be about an inch longer than your shoulders o an since u have thick hair and u want to get layers u mite want to get your hair thinned just a bit, because to much would make your hair even more frizzy .trust me thinning your hair is so help full

If i wax my snail trail which has thick hairs, will it grow back thin?

I once shaved my snail trail and the hairs are really thick, if i wax them will they grow back thin? or does anyone know how to make them grow back thin.

If i wax my snail trail which has thick hairs, will it grow back thin?

not thinner, but eventually less of it will come back, but it will hurt a lot the first few times, but the benefits, wow

If i wax my snail trail which has thick hairs, will it grow back thin?

waxing should help but i dont think they will grow back thin- just take longer to grow back. waxing is a really good way to get rid of unwanted hair though since it lasts a while and it quick and for the most part painless. =)

If i wax my snail trail which has thick hairs, will it grow back thin?

hey, hair is genetics. if you naturally have thin hair and you shave it, it will come back thin and the same goes with thick hair. often people believe that hair grows in thicker after shaving but this belief came mostly due to because one shaves while going through puberty, which is also the time hair gets thicker. anyways to answer ur question there is no way u're going to make ur hair get thinner, sorry

If i wax my snail trail which has thick hairs, will it grow back thin?

No, it will grow back the same thickness but after doing it a few times eventually it will thin out.

It will also grow back ITCY!!!!

If i wax my snail trail which has thick hairs, will it grow back thin?

If you wax them they will unfortunately grow back, but some don't. Fortunately it'll take several weeks for the hair to grow back. You should do it.

if u wax over a period of time it would be thinner

People say you can curl your hair with ghs? I have the thick ones.. will it still work?

it is for sure more difficult with the wider ghds, but it is still do-able. you might find that you just end up with bigger, looser curls rather than tight, little ones.

try this ~ :D !

not sure if they are to thick but you can try.GOOD LUCK

People say you can curl your hair with ghs? I have the thick ones.. will it still work?

When you say "thick ones" do you mean thick hair? Because yes, you can still curl it, you will just have to take smaller sections with the iron. The ghd actually works really well with curling the hair.

Wht's a good hair treatment to rstore the vitality of your hair? my hair is so damaged and thic

to pull a britney and shave it all off:(

Wht's a good hair treatment to rstore the vitality of your hair? my hair is so damaged and thick i just want

I am a stylist and I have several clients with thick, dry hair. They are several things that you can do to make your hair more smooth, straight, and manageable without using chemicals or heat. Moisture is extremely critical to make your hair straight. However, you need to infuse your hair with long-lasting moisture that won閳ユ獩 weigh your hair down.

Tip #1: Do conditioning pre-wash treatments to your hair before shampooing it. Simply whip up 2 tablespoons of Mayonnaise, 1 teaspoon of lemon juice, and a 1 egg. Let it remain on your hair for at least an hour. The lemon juice will act as a straightener. The mayonnaise and egg will strengthen and moisturize your hair. Do this 2-3 times a week.

Tip # 2: Buy a high quality, all natural hydrating and straightening hair care product for your hair. I have tried several hair care products, including Giovanni, Ojon, Tigi, RedKen, and Garnier. However, I recommend using GodHead Silky Smooth Hydrating Shampoo %26amp; Conditioner. It will hydrate and smooth your hair while infusing your scalp with essential oils made to grow and treat dry, coarse, and damaged hair. The product also contains moisturizing Aloe Vera, Coconut Oil, Vitamin E, and Jojoba, which will heal and moisturize your strands and make your hair more bouncy, shiny, smooth, and healthy. The product will also soften and detangle your hair better than most, if not all, products. As a result, your hair will be more manageable and more straight. Of course, it will not straighten your hair like a flat iron, but, your hair will lay down more easily and be more smooth. And, the more you use it, the less you more straight your hair will be. The citrus fruits in the product in particular will make your hair more straight and shiny. Go to www.discoverb4a.com to find the products.

If you don't want to waste any more money, I would buy this product. But, if you go with another brand of products, make you stray away from traditional, unnatural hair care products available for purchase in most drugstores or beauty supply stores. They contain synthetic emulsifiers and harsh detergents, such as Ammonium Lauryl Sulfate, Phosphates, Dimethicone, and Sodium Lauryl Sulfate. Unfortunately, these products are loaded with toxins and chemicals and will strip your hair of moisture and nutrients it needs to be soft, smooth, healthy, and hydrated.

Wht's a good hair treatment to rstore the vitality of your hair? my hair is so damaged and thick i just want

try Pantene Pro-V Restoratives. They are incredibly moisturizing and really help restore that moisture and shine in your hair. For me, i don't use it more than 2 times a week. but i have pretty normal hair. if your hair is super damaged, try alternating it every other day with your regular shampoo. good luck!

I also like the Pantene Restoratives line. They are amazing for moisture. If you like to use gel...You should try Sebastian's potion #9. It's a leave in hair treatment that acts as a gel, an dit smells really good too;)

Wht's a good hair treatment to rstore the vitality of your hair? my hair is so damaged and thick i just want

I would get some good leave in conditioners to use daily after your shampoo and conditioner, make sure what you use is thick and reconstructing to get the most help for your hair. I would also trying to get to a salon and get a good healthy trim, keep it followed up by getting a heat/protein treatment and more haircuts every 6 weeks. A fresh haircut will keep your hair growing, because it cuts out your dead ends and keeps what you have healthy. This would be the best way to get your hair back on track, I had the same problem last year, it worked for me.

Wht's a good hair treatment to rstore the vitality of your hair? my hair is so damaged and thick i just want

being that i am a stylist and think you should use professional products would be my first choice ,but in the store i think that infusium leave in hair treatment works good for damaged and dry hair .

Anyone With Thick/Pouffy/Curly Hair Tried Japenese Hair Straightening?

Has anyone with thick curly hair gotten a Japanese straightening done, and liked how it worked?

I've wanted to try the japanese hair straightening, because it supposidly lasts long and works great. and its straight, sleek, and not poofy or frizzie.

my hair is a little past shoulderlenght, all one lenght. it is everything, poofy, frizzie, and thick. its in between curly and wavey.

I wanted some input from people who have had this done or know someone who has, to see if it would be an option for my hair.

i reaaallly need to do somthing about it and just using a straightening iron every day is not going to work, it takes too much time.

For people that have gotten it done with thick curly hair:

How did it work?

Does it look straight and thin?

How much damage did it do to your hair?

Is it worth it?

Do you have to style it?

Anyone With Thick/Pouffy/Curly Hair Tried Japenese Hair Straightening?

I have not used it but I have seen it done. If you have had any type of chemical (color, perm, straightner, etc) put in your hair you should not use it. SUpposedly it is only good if your hair is virgin hair, NEVER been touched. It can be very harsh and drying and sometimes critical hair loss.

Anyone With Thick/Pouffy/Curly Hair Tried Japenese Hair Straightening?

I'm thinking I should try it!

Anyone With Thick/Pouffy/Curly Hair Tried Japenese Hair Straightening?

i have thick curly hair and ive gotten it japanese straightened it before. it permanently straightens your hair - it doesnt come out gradually, you have to wait for your hair to grow back out (and hair grows on a average a 1/2 inch per month).

"How did it work?

Does it look straight and thin?"

basically what happens is they put chemicals on your hair for an hour or a half hour - i dont remember which. and then they wash it out and iron your hair a tiny bit at a time to make the hole thing STICK STRAIGHT and soooo much thinner. then they put on a sealent chemical thing for a little an d wash it out and your hair dries straight. but for the first maybe 3 days or somehting youre not allowed to get your hair wet or put it up or anything so as not to crease it.

"How much damage did it do to your hair?"

it basically just kills all the bonds in your hair so it does a lot of damage but its also really shiny so it doesnt look dead or anything

"is it worth it? "

its pretty expensive so price wise it depends how much you want it but keep in mind you have to keep on getting it done everytime your hair grows out because it is VERY noticible when you have thick hair. because your hair looks so much thinner then when it gorws out it looks really awkward until you get it re-done (NOT FUN!!) i had gotten it done probably about 4 times over the course of a year and half and then i decided i missed my curly hair and let it grow out (so during that time i had to constantly iron out the hair the was growing in becaus my hair was half curly and half striaght) it took me almost 2 years for my hair to completely grow out and my curls arent the same. (theyre still good curls but i used to have banana curls which i would still have had i not gotten it done).

"Do you have to style it?"

completely up to you. its like when you iron your hair only with less body so whatever hairstyle works for you -wear. atleast for me mu hair was usually in a ponytail or just down with a side part.

basically unless you absolutely MUSt get it done i would STRONGLY reccomend not to do it .

good luck.

Ok i have poofy hair, is there anyway i can make my hair grow down than growing more thick?

The thickness of your hair is due to your DNA. You can't change that. However, you can make your hair appear "thinner" by the way it is cut. See a professional stylist.

Ok i have poofy hair, is there anyway i can make my hair grow down than growing more thick?

Try Nioxin Shampoo. Only available at beauty salons. It has worked for me. Wont do miracles. Use it a preventive measure.

Ok i have poofy hair, is there anyway i can make my hair grow down than growing more thick?

thinning shears. =]

Ok i have poofy hair, is there anyway i can make my hair grow down than growing more thick?

yes. my mom is a hair sylist. go to a salon and ash them to thin it out. they can use this razor-thing and hair goes thiner. and there are shampoos and a straiting cream you can put in it. just go to the salon.

Ok i have poofy hair, is there anyway i can make my hair grow down than growing more thick?

u know wat just get a perm regardless if ya a boy but u cant stop it from growin thick.

Ok i have poofy hair, is there anyway i can make my hair grow down than growing more thick?

You can't change the way your hair grows, but you can work with what you have. Buy an electric hair straightener (the wider one is best because you can get it done so much faster); where I live they cost about $25.00. There are also hair styling products specifically designed to help straighten your hair when you're using an electric straightener or blow dryer; Suave has one called Smoothing Glaze Gel that really works well for me. Hope this helps.

How do i make my hair thicker with common house hold items, or a shampoo and conditioner?

I have THIN HAIR and everyone like always is talking about it! I cant stand it. I just want thicker hair!

How do i make my hair thicker with common house hold items, or a shampoo and conditioner?

Humm, the only I thing I can think of is cuttin' it short and it will grow back thicker..

How do i make my hair thicker with common house hold items, or a shampoo and conditioner?

try teasing it and take some hairspray to it and then blow dry it on cool, for a better fix try a volumizing products, and when you blow dry it after a shower use a roll brush and either hold up your hair while you blow dry or flip your head upside down

hope it helps a lil

I have thick curly hair, and I'd love thin hair. Any shampoos or anything that can do the trick

I strongly dislike my thick curly hair. Its always frizzy, and when I get around to straighten it, it takes about 30-40 minutes and isn't thin enough for my liking. I wouldn't mind my curls at all if my hair was thin, but since it's thick I can't stand it. I know I can never have thin straight hair {which is what I wish I had}, but I just want to beable to do normal things without my hair freaking out. For instance, swimming. I love to swim, but my hair is always nasty and gross looking/feeling when it drys out. I want to beable to go swimming, get out, and it dry thin and curly; not thick, curly, and frizzy. I've tryed getting my hair thinned at the salon, but it doesnt really help me. I've also tryed layers, but that gave me even more volume! Im looking for maybe a shampoo and conditioner that make your hair thinner. If anyone knows about one, or anyother way I haven't tryed that helps, please let me know!

I have thick curly hair, and I'd love thin hair. Any shampoos or anything that can do the trick?

I have thick curly hair and I use Dove shampoo and conditioner in moisture rich or the new Dove system in the dark blue bottle. It works wonders on my hair. Do you use leave in conditioner? If not try Sunsilk 24/7 cream for frizzy hair the green bottle. I love that stuff. Also try using coconut oil, it helps tame down my frizz and makes my hair supper soft. And apply some gel one that helps ease the frizz. And don't get despair over hair, love your curly locks. Hope this helps. Good luck!

I have thick curly hair, and I'd love thin hair. Any shampoos or anything that can do the trick?

i also have frizzy hair . to tame ur frizz [which helped 4 me] wash ur hair with white rain shampoo and conditioner . then towel dry ur hair . then b4 u straighten ur hair . spray oil sheen on each piece . u will have no more frizz . it may still be a little frizzy but it helps! =] Report It

get it thined

I have thick curly hair, and I'd love thin hair. Any shampoos or anything that can do the trick?

Try Herbal Essences!

I have thick curly hair, and I'd love thin hair. Any shampoos or anything that can do the trick?

I remmeber when i was younger, we avoided using Salon Selectives (i think) shampoo because for some reason we thought it made your hair shed more often. LOL, silly girls. but you could try it!

I have thick curly hair, and I'd love thin hair. Any shampoos or anything that can do the trick?

You can't change oyur haird no matter how you try, it is always going to be your hair. But you can layer it so it's thinner. Hair is always nasty after swimming. Use better shampoos and condition it. Ask a hair stylist if they have any tips. I think there might be a way to straigten it that will last a while at least. But it is probably really expensive. Best of luck!

I have thick curly hair, and I'd love thin hair. Any shampoos or anything that can do the trick?

NO! Do NOT Thin your hair, thinning only works for straight thick hair, what will eventually happen once you thin it is the hair will continue to grow and because some stands will be shorter that others your hair will poof more.. I have thick naturally wavy hair.( I am Mex/American.) What I do is get a razor cut, make sure you go to a good salon because the wrong person can ruin this cut. It is a complex way of cutting. So go get your hair razor cut, then at night wash it, straighten it before bed, then in the morning run I use a conair dryer that includes a comb so it blows and straightens at the same time. With the hair being dry all you are doing is polishing it. Then you are off for the day. It takes me about 5-10 min. At night, yes it takes about 20min. But the cut makes all the difference, if you ask the stylist to razor it in layers so it kinda flips out at the tips it will look fantastic. Unfortunatly curly hair is too complicated, timely and hard w/ thick hair. I prefer straight, and daily I am complimented on my hair. Its so shiny after the polish in the morning. I use Tressume shampoo for dry coarse hair, and conditioner. After its straighted I use alittle frizz control balm they make as well. You just need the right cut, and products. Do not wash your hair every day either! This will dry it out and make it dull and more poofy. So good luck!

I have thick curly hair, and I'd love thin hair. Any shampoos or anything that can do the trick?

Honey, how THICK your hair is depends upon the number of hair follicles on your head, and on how coarse your hair is. I think what you really want is for your hair to be less coarse - not have all your hair fall out.

Other than having it chemically straightened there is really little you can do with wet hair left to dry naturally. You certainly need to be sure you use plenty of conditioner. There are some straightening products out there in shampoos and conditioners but once you get in the water, all bets are off. In those situations, just pull it back.

I have thick curly hair, and I'd love thin hair. Any shampoos or anything that can do the trick?

How can you not like thick hair? All the best looking women in the world have really thick hair, like Shakira, or salma hayak, to name a few. Work with what you've got, dont try to make it something its not. And most people are pretty hard on themselves. I am a guy and i have straight hair, but after i go swimming my hair frizzes out too. I think alot of peoples hair frizzes out, but its not as bad as you think. We always think our hair looks worse than what it is. If you are really self conscious about your hair after swimming, but put on a baseball hat. Girls always look sexy in hats and it keeps your hair from sticking out all over the place.

I have thick curly hair, and I'd love thin hair. Any shampoos or anything that can do the trick?

you need to find someone that cuts curly hair that will thin it properly. I have alot of hair but it is straight so i get it thinned and you probably need to have more taken out. try a different stylist or salon. and as for after swimming i am sure you add lots of conditioner. My daughters friend has curly hair and she uses mousse to control the frizz and constant trimming helps.

My hair is about down to the middle of my back,It is thick, straight,?

and i color it myself, i usually use 2 sometimes 3 boxes of color,my hair is two tone and i can never get it the color i want (blonde) Im thinking about cutting a good amount off(not too short about few inches pass my shoulders) Whats a really good style to get and whats the best over the counter color to buy?My natural haircolor is dark blonde. Also is there any websites you can go to and see yourself with different hairstyles and colors.

My hair is about down to the middle of my back,It is thick, straight,?

How am i to know if your hair is thick or straight? Why don't you try asking someone who can see you? If your hair was thin you would know it, it would lie flat and esp for someone with long hair it would lie extremely flat on your head. Dyeing your hair makes it coarser .

If u remove hair by laser treatment, will they all grow back thick and nasty when pregnant?

im removing a lot of body and facial hair, but i fear when i get pregnant later on all my hairs will come back out and theres nothing i can do for those 9 months, waxing and shaving will only make them worse

If u remove hair by laser treatment, will they all grow back thick and nasty when pregnant?

It shouldn't come back. Start your treatments a few months before you get pregnant if you can. Because one treament may not get rid off all the hair. Some hair may be on a slower growing cycle. You may need to have 2 or 3 treatments to get rid of every hair. And once they are all gone they generally don't return.

If u remove hair by laser treatment, will they all grow back thick and nasty when pregnant?

I THOUGHT LASER THERAPY WAS PERMANENT!

If u remove hair by laser treatment, will they all grow back thick and nasty when pregnant?

If you have it removed it all depends on the procedure you have done.

If u remove hair by laser treatment, will they all grow back thick and nasty when pregnant?

If the hair follicle is destroyed (which is what laser treatments do), then there's nothing from which a hair can grow; thus, the hair will not grow back under any circumstances. Untreated hair follicles might produce hairs, but that would be true whether you become pregnant or not.

If u remove hair by laser treatment, will they all grow back thick and nasty when pregnant?

how does hair get pregnant?

Who thinks that if you shave hair it will grow back thicker?

The life of a hair goes from very fine hair to thicker hair. When you shave it you only cut it, it continues to grow and it grows thicker. It would have been thicker, whether you had shaved it or not. Also, the number of hair follicles is growing; meaing people get more hairy over time. So the whole "shave it and it will grow back thicker" is based on an illusion.

Waxing is different. It pulls the hair out and causes it to start all over in its growth. Thus, you go back to the fine hair.

Who thinks that if you shave hair it will grow back thicker?

Yeah, that's an old wives tale. When you cut or shave it, the hair's ends are now blunt, so it only LOOKS thicker. It really isn't.

Who thinks that if you shave hair it will grow back thicker?

I shave my arms but if anything they look even thinner.

Who thinks that if you shave hair it will grow back thicker?

whatever dude

Who thinks that if you shave hair it will grow back thicker?

Great job,very interesting. Thanks.

Who thinks that if you shave hair it will grow back thicker?

ok

Who thinks that if you shave hair it will grow back thicker?

i better start the waxing

Who thinks that if you shave hair it will grow back thicker?

Sometimes a shaved hair grows back split which makes it appear thicker although it isn't.

Who thinks that if you shave hair it will grow back thicker?

Hair appears to be thicker but in actuality it is only the angle that the hair gets cut that makes it look thicker. Shavers cut hair at an angle..

yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh lil john out!!

Crazy curly thick frizzy hair...HELP!!!!!!?

Okay, here is the problem...

I have very thick, curly red hair. The curls on the side are pretty ringlet like curls but the back reminds me a bit like ramen noodles!!! Showers take so long because I have to brush my hair and I lose so much hair! I ring a lot of the water out (I have tried leaving it sopping wet and then applying product but that seems to make it fluffy) I apply garnier fructis leave in conditioner and comb through it. Then I apply garnier fructis soft curl creme. THEN I diffuse it. I know air drying it is better but diffusing gives me more body and more defined curls. I sleep with my hair in a high ponytail in a scrunchie but no matter what I do I get awful knots at the nape! And usually get some sort of rats nest in the back.

Ok so now that you have read that huge thing I guess I'll get to the question(s).

-Product suggestions? The garnier fructis stuff has wax which I think is bad for my hair and whenever I take a shower there is yellowish foam left in it.

Crazy curly thick frizzy hair...HELP!!!!!!?

I have psycho curly thick frizz hair as well. All of my hair is in supercurl mode, but goes to a very soft, wavy testure when I brush it enough. Trust me, when it comes to thick hair, the hairbrush strand thief is your friend. If it weren't for him, my hair'd be horizontal by now.

Anyways, I would suggest daily showers (they're nice, plus you get to try to get your hair in some sort of condition.) I tend to lightly shampoo, then condition your hair. Bring a brush into the shower and run it through the conditioner-filled hair, which gets rid of all of my knots in my rat's nest.

Rinse it out, starting with your original water temperature, then colder, then colder, till its pretty cool (I hate cold showers but if you do it gradually it helps.) The hair, for some reason, holds less cold water than hot. When you finish with the shower, towel dry--make your head parallel to the ground and, with a thick towel, start at the top of the hair and rub your hand on opposite sides of the towel while bringing it down. Brush it right after this to ensure that the toweling antics don't knot up your hair. Don't use a hair drier. The cold water method makes my spongey, holds-water-in-all-day-long hair almost completely dry.

For products, I use VO5 and Suave. The Suave Humectant conditioner is working pretty well for me, and VO5 is great overall--it's cheap, smells nice, and works. Plus it isn't a pain to get out.

Crazy curly thick frizzy hair...HELP!!!!!!?

There are a few things you can do to help: First, you need to use a shampoo and conditioner that is either for curls or smoothing (not straightening, but frizz-fighting). IT sounds stupid, but it really does make a difference. You mentioned that you are brushing out your hair in the shower; make sure you only do this with conditioner in your hair, because brushing wet hair will cause a lot of damage. Products like Curls Rock by Catwalk are great for styling creams. Apply them before you use the diffuser or air dry. Before you go to bed, apply a leave in conditioner (like Healthy Sexy Hair SoyTri-Wheat Leave in Conditioner), which should fight the tangling. Hope this helps, and good luck!
