I have the same problem too but the gel and cream work for me. Maybe you should have it layered and cut shorter.....

Wash and condition your hair using a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner wash it every other day or every 2 days. Wavy and curly hair tends to be drier than straight hair. Comb hair in shower while conditioner is still in. Never brush or towel dry hair. Instead, air dry or diffuse. Its a good idea to deep condition your hair at least once a week- a lot of frizz comes from damage to your hair. Maybe you should go to your stylist and get a trim since your hair dosen't grow that fast or get your hair cut into a hairstyle that helps with the frizz and is easy to maintan.

Applying a leave in conditioner will often help tame your frizz, without weighing it down too much or leaving it feeling greasy. Some suggested leave in conditioners: Aveda Brilliant Damage Control, Bumble and bumble leave in conditioner with frizz control, or Aussie Hair Insurance. A great product for air drying your hair is Aveda Brilliant Pomades- they come with a humectant for letting your hair dry curly, or anti-humectant if you want your hair to hang straight.

If you're going to blow dry your hair and you want it curly, use a diffuser on the end of your blowdryer. Flip your head over and scruch your hair, but not too much. Dry until your hair is almost dry, and then let air dry the last bit. This prevents frizziness. Use a mousse or pomade for this.

If you want to blow dry your hair and you want it straight, use a product that helps with this - Avedea Brilliant Anti-Humectant Pomade is a good one for this. Use a big round brush and blow dry your hair in sections, following the brush down through your hair. Don't use a diffuser attachement on your hair dryer for this. If you have frizzy hair, this usually makes your hair even more frizzy, so its best to always follow up by flat ironing your hair, and then locking it in with a spray shine.

hydrate and tame.

use a good conditioner,

i recommend terax crema, keep it in your hair for 15 minutes,

rinse, and blow dry,

afterwards if it is still frizzy, use frizz ease.

i have curly thick hair too, what I do to keep out the frizz is i constantly change up products. sometimes i use a really strong moisturizer and the next i'll use a restorative, that way my hair gets stuff to strengthen it and make it soft and shiny. also a little bit of hair serum will do wonders for keeping your hair curly w/ out making it frizzy or drying it out.

Don't use gel. Its very drying. After washing and conditioning your hair, massage a small amount of leave in conditioner then spray in Theraplexx. It's by Nexxus and it protects your hair when using heating appliances. You have to find a really good moisturizer and a de-frizzer. Check out a beauty supply store and get some opinions from the workers there. They usually know their stuff.

I never had problems with my hair until i got a TERRIBLE perm! I didn't know what to do or how to manage it, and i had wild frizzy hair that couldn't be tamed.

Then a friend told me about Neutrogena Triple Moisturizing conditioner. I can not tell you the difference it made!!! It literally saved my hair from being chopped off. It brings it to life and it leaves your hair so soft and manageable. To top it off, its not even expensive! It comes in a peach tub with an orange top. Its by all of the Neutrogena Hair products. You'll love it!

sorry if that sounded like an infomercial :)

i would change shampoo and conditioner i use back to basics apple %26amp; ginsing it's not that exspensive but you have to go to a beatuy store to get it because alot of good shampoo is sold there .... and it's not store brand and i would switch hairsparys adn gel to paul mitchelle (can get it at target) or beatuy store because like herbal encesses has alot of achol in it and it make your hair dry .. and when your done washing your hair brush it out then blowdry it and try using detangler and frizz control straighting spray(if you straighten your hair) and try straighting your hair it makes it really soft and smooth (but not everyday because it will make it worse) oh one more last thing try bio silk to blow dry it make your hari fell like silk but your hair has to be wet and washed ... good luck i hope this works!!!!!
