b-blonde sold in boots n superdrug...all the normal all over hair dyes will always pick up on ur natural tones of red to go all over blonde i suggest going to the hairdressers... if u dont mind bleach blonde hen the b-blonde will work without it going any other colour then blonde n if you want a subtle look then use the cap it comes with i do mine all over n my hair is natrally blonde n ways i use it for a boost but my friend has dark hair n i used the same product with the cap n put in high lights which also looks nice....u need to use a bleach n peroxide for it not to pick out the red tones. n one u do it i suggest u use a all over hiar mask once a week to keep it getting damaged n looking nice n soft hope this helps

Since your hair is so dark you will need a pre-lightener to strip the colour from your hair before you can even attempt to dye it blonde. This is tricky and I highly recommend that if you want blonde hair to spend the money and have a professional colourist do it for you.

Certain shades of dark hair cannot be dyed blonde with just blond hair dye.

You need the 2-step treatment. Do NOT try it at home.

You must go to a professional salon. It's a very intense process.

They will first strip your hair of color.

They will actually color it in the next appointment (don't do it the same day, it can really dry your hair out)

You are pretty much bleaching it, therefore severely damaging your hair. Once the process is done, you must be very gentle with your hair (especially if you blow dry/heat process it often).

Use shampoos for dyed hair and do a hair mask once a week.

I would go to the salon and get my hair dyed. If you are trying to go more than 2 shades lighter, trying to bleach your hair at home is really really risky, and you will probably not get the desired results. otc dyes cannot lift the hair color more than about 2 shades.
