OH MY GOD! My hair is EXACTLY the same lol I straighten mine too. The best way for you to take care of it is to go get your hair cut and tell them that you want it really really really thinned out (throw in a few reallys - they tend to get lazy and not take nearly enough out) Theres not much else you can do other than get this done. Another choice would be to just get a much shorter hair style. Good luck to you..if you have any more questions hit me up

The next time you get a hair cut ask your stylist to thin your hair. It should not cost any more to have it thinned when your due for your next cut.
Just to make sure ask your stlyist if it would cost more.

thinning your hair out with thinning shears is fine,but you need to thin out only the bulky areas and not to close to the scalp at least 3 to 4 inches away from the scalp .Even down more in the middle but not all the way to the ends.Its an old rule, never thin out in the part ,crown, calic.These areas will make the hair grow back and youll have short unruly pieces all over sticking out!A razor cut is nice is you find someone that cuts and knows how to weave and thin the middle section of your hair.Good luck!
