i have the same issue i use pureology volume shampoo (kinda expensive but it works) but i also use sexy hair concepts root pump plus and you spray it on your roots before blow drying and the spray and play hair spray. that works for me but i went to my hair dresser and told her my concerns and asked her advice and thats what she told me, you should ask your stylist.

here is what i do for my clients with thin hair.

first i use a thicking spray by regis and round brush their hair dry.

after i used a root lifter (all brands work the same in my eyes) just at the crown and the would blow dry it using my fingers lifting up the hair at the crown area.
