How can I get fuller thicker hair, from hair dye?

I dyed my hair many times, my hair seems to get thinner and thinner every time. It's dry, brittle, and tangle most of the time. How can I get fuller thicker hair? What kind of shampoo etc?

Dying hair actually plumps up the drive shaft %26amp; makes it thicker, but it also damages your hair %26amp; makes it dry. Make sure to condition it every time you wash it. I would reccommend anything by Pantene, full %26amp; thick, or for color treated hair. They will be more gentle for your hair. Also don't color more than every 6-8 weeks, and unless you have gray hair that you're trying to cover, use semi-permanent. They don't contain amonia %26amp; cause less damage! Good luck!

over processing hair will make it damaged and brittle.you may have to take a break from dying hair.go to a stylist and get advise on what to use. if you keep dying it it will only get worse.

I think the best volumnizing product is Big Sexy Hair.

It works great and its easy to use, it is a bit expensive thought but it'll make your hair very full and thick. If your looking for a cheaper product go with Sunsilk Anti Flat and that also works pretty good but not as good.

Hope i was some help ;]

Dyeing your hair is the surest way to hair damage, aside from neglect, cheap shampoos, or excessive sun on your head. Use a quality shampoo and eat more protein.

Maybe get a radical chop and then let your hair grow in and treat it right--and stop dyeing.

It sounds like the dyes you're using are to blame for your thinning hair. You should give your hair a rest from dying it so much. Also you might want to start putting protein in your hair, you can buy a protein pack at any Sally stores. Also you may want to dye your hair with a natural product like henna. Healthfood stores sell natural hair dyes. Also talk to your stylist about the problems you are having with your hair they should be able to help you out. Also check out these web sites for product info.

Pantene has wax in and is one of the WORST shampoo/conditioning products on the market. Causes major breakage.

Go to a stylist and they will probably reccomend getting either an oil treatment or a deep conditioning treatment and will recommend something to help your hair to become strong again.

You may be instreucted to lay off the dying of it for awhile.

Because although it may "volumize" your hair. it will also dry it out.

Even on the days you don't wash it I would condition it daily.

Also, most store brand bought products (about 99%) contain alcohol and that obviously dries your hair out to. So, I'd start w/ salon products, (whatever is recomended) probably volumizing.

  1. Bottom line:

We don't know what type of hair color that you use nor do we know what volume developer. We can all assume what the problem may be. I have been a hair designer for 33 years and never had someone lose hair due to hair color. The first thing that I would do as your stylist is to have you contact your doctor for any possible thyroid issues. Then a naturopath would do a hair analysis to see what you are lacking physically. Your hair is a waste area and gives instant results as to what your system is lacking. Also, be sure to not pull the color through to the ends every time during application. Using 10 volume developer is much less abrasive to your scalp and hair but be sure to mix a separate bowl of demi permanent color through the ends as needed and for only 10 to 15 minutes.

Check the ends of your hair that came out from your head. If there is a white tip at either end, you are losing hair from the scalp. If there is no white ends, that's breakage. Run your hands through your hair to feel if your roots feel thicker than your ends, if so, that's breakage.
