I have thick straight black hair. When I go to get the haircut, many times people have told me that it's good that I have thick hair. Why? Is there a benefit?

So if it's thicker to begin with, when you get old, you're not going to be as bald as fast. Also, you have more styling options with thick hair. Curl it, straighten it, whatever you want. Thin, fine hair is harder to get to do anything.

Thick hair is much better than thin hair, it you have thin hair then it looks all limp and ugly, and also when you get older you might get bald spots. Also, thick hair is much prettier, although it can get annoying. I would recommend getting your hair relaxed if you are annoyed with it, i have thick black hair, and relaxing it took some of the frizziness out.

I think there is a benefit because you can do a lot more with your hair if it is thick. I have very thin hair and it is soooooooo hard for me to get volume in my hair. Be grateful that you have thick hair.
