I'm a black girl with thick hair and I'm trying to grow my hair out. Does anyone have any

My hair is thick and very curly(i have nappy hair) and it's relaxed. Right now it's about shoulder length and suddenly my hair won't grow past this point. It's damaged and my ends split quickly. If anyone has any hair product reccommendations or tips to grow my hair out that would be great.

The Nexxus Humectress is a great conditioner. Yet you can also use Dr. Miracles Dry/Damaged Conditioner or Olive,Carrot, Shea Butter or Tea Tree conditioners in which you can find at your local hair store. If your hair is currently in a horrendous state, then I would suggest you to find a Dominician owned salon and ask for a deep condition and if your ends need trimming let them know that they should go right to the ends. After that you want to start practing a regular hair care program such as washing your hair every 2 weeks and DEEPLY conditioning it. But conditioning your hair after you wash it is just the beginning. Since your hair is damaged the key is to keep your ends moisturized. Moisturizing your ends reduces hair breakage, and allows your hair to grow. So at nights before you go to bed use hair lotion like PINK or Doo Groo and wrap you hair and go to bed with a satin cap. Its work but its worth it.

well to the sound of it i thin ur hair looks great the way it is. if u really want it longer, have u considered straighting it? or if use any kind of shampoo, wash ur hair, rinse. then rub conidintioner softly on your hair and ur hair will be smooth and silky. this works if you wash ur hair everyday.

1) wash ur hair

2) rinse the soa out

3) smoothly place condtioner over your, leave on for about 2 min

4) slowly rinse the conditioner out

i hope this works for u!

I would recommend this product that I have been using and I love it. It is called Doo gro and you can get it at target or Sally beauty supply store. I saturate my hair in the oil and massage it into my scalp and then put a shower cap on and leave it as long as I can. I left it in my hair all day today and just didn't go anywhere. I have thin fragile dry hair and it is really coming back to life and growing out nicely.

Heat and perming damages your hair. I know it's hard, but stay away from colors and try not to use heat on your hair everyday. You should also get your ends clip regularly. Also deep condition every week. Sleeping with your hair wrapped, reduces breakage. If you don't like sleeping with anything on your head, get a silk pillow case. For a daily sheen without it being too heavy, try using Organic Olive Oil Spray. It's a tall green can, found at most beauty supply stores. Braids may be an option, until you get the desired growth.

I read somewhere that the reason that our hair doesn't grow past our shoulders is because it's naturally dry and the friction between the ends and the shoulders causes the ends to break. So wear an up-do until you've grown past your shoulder, then do what you do! Good luck.
